For those on Jobseeker’s Allowance and Jobseeker’s Benefit who claim on a casual basis, the Department has clarified that:
- Payments for the weeks ending December 17 and December 24 (Jobseeker’s Allowance) or December 18 and December 25 (Jobseeker’s Benefit) will be issued on December 20.
- This will ensure claimants receive both payments ahead of the Christmas period.
Normal payment arrangements for the week ending December 31 and January 1 will resume on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
